To use the fasteners simply place a small hole in the paper 
where the fastener is to go through. This is best done leaning 
on a cutting mat and pressing through the paper using a 
sharp point of a craft knife to make a small slit. 
Then insert the fastener through the slit, ensuring the pin is 
facing the right way up and separate and flatten the back pins to secure.
